Shortly after Kevin left home for college, his father was laid off which cut the household income in half and made paying for college quite a challenge. Realizing the significance of becoming the first in his family to graduate from college, Kevin took out student loans to finance his college education.

 

After graduating from North Carolina A&T State University in 2012, Kevin started his career in public service and began to face his looming college debt. With an entry level job and a young family to care for, Kevin often wished that he owed just $1,000 less --- so he decided to help someone else "owe just $1,000 less" and the BAC Scholarship Fund was born.

 

Kevin lives with his wife Talia along with their daughters, Alanna and Aubree.
